The End of Year 2

The end of the school year came quickly! Our classes finished two weeks before the girls' did, so it was a little less stressful than last year. A fire at the CIU library made it a little difficult for Andrew to finish some of his work, but everything got completed in the end. The library had some significant damage, and it is unsure when it will be able to reopen, but we have been able to find some other local resources as well as the inter-library loan system for Andrew to get the books he needs for his summer classes.

We had quite a few issues to deal with at the end of the year with the students - including two lost passports that had to be replaced - but overall we were able to end the year well. We saw three girls graduate and get ready to head off to college, and we also had to say goodbye to two of our students who will not be returning. We hope to be able to stay in touch with all of these girls and see how God works in their lives in the future. We had one of our students begin a relationship with Jesus this year, and we were also able to watch others grow and mature in their faith. Andrew had the opportunity to mentor a guy student who become a believer this year, and he really enjoyed getting to answer his questions and see his desire to follow Christ grow. We have nine returning girls this coming year - six of them are seniors! We are looking forward to and planning for a new year, and are excited about what opportunities lie ahead to minister to our girls and the other students.
