Our bank offers its customers free entrance to certain museums on the first Saturday of every month. One of these museums is EdVenture, an interactive children's museum, and we were finally able to take Micah there the first Saturday in April, which was also the Saturday before Easter. It was great! They have quite a few large exhibits, like this tractor as part of the farm, and a real fire truck that kids can climb up on and "drive!"
Micah enjoyed collecting the eggs from the chickens at the farm!
Micah was supposed to be picking the oranges, but instead he kept putting them back in the trees. Notice the fireman's jacket and no shoes...Micah willingly let me put the fire jacket and boots on, and seemed to like it, but promptly took off the boots and ran back towards the farm when we tried to take a picture! It took us quite a while to get him back to the fire truck from the farm. He finally did play on the fire truck, but he was definitely a little afraid of it at first. I guess it was too big.
Micah doesn't need anything flashy...a room with some big blocks made him happy!
Micah also enjoyed riding the bulldozer with Daddy. You could actually move it back and forth in the room and move the blocks. It was attached to a house construction site...pretty cool!
Again, the simple things kept Micah the most occupied...it was hard to pull him away from this magnet board!
Towards the end of our visit, Micah and Daddy were in an African music video! When you stood in this room and played the drums, your image was projected on a screen outside the room showing you in an African village playing with other musicians! Micah had a blast...hopefully we can go again soon!
