September 30-October 3 was Spirit Week at Ben Lippen. Students could dress up in different themes each day, competing as classes to show their spirit, leading up to the Homecoming Game on Friday. We also had a competition among the houses in the Resident Program to encourage our students to participate. Some of the girls were more enthusiastic than others, but overall it was a fun week! Tuesday was Pajama Day.

Wednesday was favorite group day. Students could also dress alike as "twins." Tracy (standing in front in the beige vest and gray skirt) and Alice (standing right behind her) were the most enthusiastic about Spirit Week. They had their parents send their school uniforms from Taiwan for group day. They were so excited when their packages arrived!

Thursday was International Day. Elizabeth and Cherry borrowed dresses from our house assistant, Renee. She grew up in the Ivory Coast in Africa.

Micah got in on International Day as well. Susy's mother sent this cute poncho for Micah!! He posed with Susy in her Mexican Fiesta garb. Susy took first prize for her outfit!

Micah also posed with Nelly. She wore my Thai dress that I actually purchased when we were in Cambodia. The girls thought it was a perfect fit for Nelly! While our house did not win the contest, we did tie for first on International Day!!

Friday was Green and Gold Day (those are the school's colors.) Everyone made it in this picture! First Row: Shirley, Ting, Susy, Elizabeth. Second Row: Taehi, Alice, EunSun, Tracy, Zoe, Arin, Cherry, Christina, Nelly.
