1B House Trip - Day Two

After Brunch and a nap in our room, Micah was ready to explore the water parks. There was one at the bottom of each tower of our hotel, each with different things to do. There was also a game area next to the pools, with pool, ping pong, and oversized checkers and chess. Micah thought that the checker boards were pretty cool! Unfortunately, someone was trying to use this board to play a game. Oops, Micah!

Nice move, Micah!

There was a lazy river outside. The water was warm, but Micah was not interested in getting in...he just wanted to put the tubes in!

Ugh, these tubes are awkward!

The "indoor" water parks were not completely indoors...they have floor to ceiling windows that they take out for the summer and don't replace until November. So the swimming areas were a little chilly. Micah wasn't so keen on the kiddie areas because of this. However, he LOVED the basketball pool! He would run around the edge of the pool begging for balls from people, and then he would throw them back in to the water, sometimes aiming for the net. Eventually, he got a little too close to the edge and fell in! Daddy jumped right in after him, and thankfully, Micah did not seem fazed by the event. Since they were in the pool, Daddy & Micah decided to play a little basketball!

He shoots...

Micah's first Slam Dunk!

Some of our girls explored the water park. We thought that Micah would enjoy this area because of the spraying elephants, but this pool was actually very cold! Note the girls shivering...

There was a pirate with a real parrot walking around to entertain the guests. Alice, Tracy & Dahi posed for a picture, but Micah ran right by him several times without even noticing him! He was distracted by the basketballs...

Some of the girls also took in the beach on Saturday. Alice, Tracy, Dahi & Christy got this great shot!!

Saturday evening we went to a great seafood buffet, Captain George's! All of the buffet tables looked like ships, and we had our own personal dining room for our group. The food was great too!

Micah, of course, ate corn on the cob!

After dinner we took the group to Broadway at the Beach. It has specialty shops, carnival rides, Ripley's Museum & Aquarium, a movie theatre, and mini-golf. Micah really liked the "stroller" rentals...they were really fun cars! He had to test out every car before we could move on!

We found a playground, and Micah had a blast going down the slides. He really likes slides! We also checked out some of the shops and got a couple deals at the Disney store that we couldn't resist. It was a late night - Micah didn't get to bed until 10 pm - but he did great and we all had lots of fun!!

Whee!!
