We took a long weekend trip to Disney World at the end of January to celebrate Andrew's birthday! This year you get in free to one Disney park on your birthday. We decided to go to Animal Kingdom, and take a second day at Magic Kingdom. The night before Andrew's birthday, we celebrated by having dinner at Boma, the African Buffet at Animal Kingdom Lodge! The food was wonderful! Micah especially loved the sweet potatoes and corn bread muffins! In addition to the wonderful desserts on the buffet, Andrew got a special Birthday dessert!
When we arrived at Animal Kingdom, our first order of business was meeting Mickey & Minnie! Micah had been watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in preparation for our visit to Disney World. Micah really likes the show now, and it worked, because he recognized Mickey & Minnie right away and was excited to see them!

We also enjoyed meeting Donald Duck & Goofy!
Next, we headed to the Safari Ride! Micah was really sleepy by this point, but he enjoyed seeing all of the animals!

After the Safari Ride, Micah fell fast asleep! We enjoyed walking through the different Animal exhibits while he napped. It was getting close to the show time for Finding Nemo The Musical, so we woke him up. Micah was ready to run and play, so sitting still to watch the show was not exactly what he had in mind! Andrew took Micah and had some Daddy/Son while I watched the show. It was great, I was sad that Andrew missed it. I hope that he'll get to see it soon! We also made sure we found Pluto and Goofy at Dinoland USA!
We also visited Pooh & his friends before we left the park. Micah really liked Winnie the Pooh. Even though he was supposed to visit Pooh's other friends, he kept trying to walk back to Pooh! He also liked to introduce his stuffed animal friend, Ellery, to all the characters. They were great, they would hold Ellery, and say hello to him too!

We had a great day at Animal Kingdom, even though it was a little chilly! Micah did great - he had fun on the rides and took a great nap! We enjoyed Micah's first day at Disney World, especially his excitement in meeting Mickey Mouse and the rest of his friends. That was the best birthday present for Daddy!
