On Thursday, August 7th, our new students began to arrive! Along with registration and orientation, we had a few fun activities planned for them. Above is a picture of all the new students at a Chinese Buffet. Afterward we went to Frankie's Fun Park, an amusement center with laser tag, go carts, mini golf, arcades, and more! The students had a blast!

The returning students started arriving on Sunday, and School started on Tuesday. The first few weeks flew by and were full of learning and new experiences. It was an adjustment for everyone, dealing with jet lag, figuring out schedules, meeting roommates, and living together in community far away from home. We now have 13 girls living in our home, from 7 different nations: China, Macao, Taiwan, Korea, Russia, Mexico, and the USA. Our girls names are Cherry, Elizabeth, Zoe, Alice, Ting, Taehi, Eunsun, Susy, Nelly, Tracy, Arin, Shirley, and Christina. We also have a wonderful house assistant who lives in our house with the girls. Renee, who is a CIU student, gives us one evening off a week, and two weekends off a month. She is as excited about getting to know the girls as we are! I realized that we still don't have a picture of all the girls, so I will work on that. The pictures below are from the Welcome Back Dinner for all of the students at the end of the first week of school. The new students got to ask the returning students questions about Resident Student Life, and the returning students did skits acting out what not to do in the Resident Program. The students had a great time!!

Poppop
I read where Pop Pop is having Micah withdrawal and needs some more pictures. That goes double for Poppy! He's just about worn out his mouse scrolling down all the current pictures three and four times each day!
Love Nan and Poppy
