Here's Micah checking out the rocking chairs at the airport in Columbia. We realized later that we didn't get a picture of him on the airplane, oops!! The plane was really small, and I was a little concerned that Micah would have a hard time, since he usually doesn't sit still very long! It turned out that there was no cause for worry because Micah did really great. He did get a little antsy on the way down, but we were able to keep him occupied with very little fussing!
On Wednesday, while Jerry was at work, we went to the Blue Bell factory tour. For those of you who do not live in the south and have yet to have the privilege of tasting Blue Bell ice cream, you are missing out! Blue Bell is the best! They only deliver to areas that their own drivers can reasonably reach, and they don't keep back stock at grocery stores to help with quality assurance. We enjoyed the tour - the most interesting thing we learned is how well the company treats their employees. They don't make ice cream on Sundays and the factor shuts down by 6 or 7 pm so workers can have good time with their families.
After the tour you get a generous "scoop" of Blue Bell ice cream! We tried some new flavors and Micah, of course, had chocolate ice cream. The boy loves chocolate!!
No more ice cream?! But I want more!!
Uncle Drew & Adelaide reading a magazine
Micah also had fun playing with Pamela & Jerry's neighbors. He loved the tractor mower as well as their other outside toys. When it was time to go inside, Micah gave hugs and helped put the toys away without being asked! It made me so proud!!
Miss Adelaide in her swing - Micah liked pushing her in it, he did a pretty good job at being gentle!
Micah enjoying a lunch of wings & celery!!
We spent Thanksgiving day with Pamela's family. It was a nice, relaxing day, and it was great to get to know her family a little better. Our visit with our friends was refreshing and encouraging. We also loved getting to meet sweet Adelaide! Micah loves her too!!
