Our Trip to Texas

Our trip to Texas was wonderful! It was a great time of relaxing and refreshment for us, and it was a joy to be able spend time with our good friends. Micah was such a trooper with all the traveling we did. He was VERY well behaved on the airplane, only fussing a little when he was awake for a couple of the take-offs and landings. The weather was beautiful as well - a nice break from the cold and dreary days we've had lately. Micah enjoyed his first time wearing shorts and taking a walk outside in the park without socks and blankets! Thanks so much Jerry & Pamela for being such gracious hosts! Micah loved all the attention you gave him, and he misses you already!! He especially misses Aunt Pamela helping him to get to sleep, and making funny faces with Uncle Jerry. Saying goodbye on Monday was difficult, but we were glad that we could return home refreshed and encouraged by your friendship!

I can't wait for summer so I can dress like this all the time!

We also enjoyed getting to have lunch and go to the Dr Pepper Museum with Rachel and Andrew. Micah wasn't too interested in the museum - he slept the whole time. We learned some interesting things about the soda though - it is made from 23 fruit flavors, but prune juice is NOT one of them! Dr Pepper was first invented in Waco, TX at a pharmacy, and there is still legend and speculation about how it really got its name. The museum is located in the original bottling plant in Waco. It was so good to see Rachel again, and I'm glad our Andrews got to finally meet each other! I hope that we can get to spend some more time together soon!
