Merry Christmas Micah!!

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with Micah this year! He learned about the true meaning of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. It was so wonderful to hear him talk about Mary, Joseph, and...baby...baby...baby Jesus! (At this point, Micah sometimes struggled to get two words out together, so it would take him a few tries with the first word before the second word would follow. Too cute!) He also definitely learned about presents! We can't use the "p" word around Micah anymore or he will start looking for some. On Christmas Eve, Micah opened presents from Poppop & Grandma after church. He looked so handsome in his suit, and he actually liked wearing it!

Micah anxiously waits while Grandma helps him open his new bus!

Micah loves Veggie Tales, can't you tell? Thanks Aunt Holly, Uncle Joshua, Abigail, Joshua & Caleb!! Upon returning home, we watched the story of St. Nicholas many, many, MANY times!

Micah opened the presents from us on Christmas morning before everyone else arrived. Notice the black dress shoes that accompany Micah's pajamas. He loves these shoes!! Too bad they are too small now :(

Micah did pretty well opening his gifts. He certainly took his time though! "I'll just read this little Mickey Mouse book while all these other presents sit around me..."

When everyone else arrived, we opened presents again! We decided to open presents before lunch since the kids would be getting tired afterward. It worked pretty well, except that Micah slowed down a little more, since he had just opened present not long before. Here's Kate opening one of her presents, she looked adorable!

Micah again this year donned a Santa suit for Christmas day. He has discovered who Santa is as well. However, since he got a talking snowman wearing a Santa hat from Nan & Poppy for Christmas, snowmen are also called Santa. Funny story after returning to CIU: We met Andrew for lunch one day at the cafeteria during his week-long winterim class. One of the Counseling professors walked by and said hello to Micah. This professor also happens to have white hair and a beard. I was about to ask Micah to say hello when he looked up at the professor and said, "Santa!" I couldn't help myself, I laughed. The professor took it well, although he did tell Micah that he's not getting any presents this year!!

After all the presents were opened, Micah went around and gave everyone hugs and kisses!!

After lunch there was one last present to be opened. The kids all got scooters! Micah & Kate's have three wheels to help keep them a little more steady. Kate got the hang of hers right away, she just watched her big brother, but it took Micah a while longer. It wasn't until a few weeks after we got home that he really took off, but he loves it! Thanks Nan & Poppy! Merry Christmas!
