Carowinds, Take Two!

The tradition continues! The residents made their annual trip to Carowinds Amusement Park for Labor Day weekend. Here's the whole Gang: Top Row - Shelly, Alison, Romi, Ting, Raquel; Second Row - Christy, Emily, Annie, Beki, (Zoe's hiding behind Beki), Alice, Jill, Tracy; Front Row - Andrew, Micah, Kristina, Taehi. We had a great day, the weather was perfect! After riding the same roller coaster that we did last year (thanks Zoe for watching the kids while we rode!!) We once again headed to the kid area. There was a little more that Micah could do, and he was excited!


Micah was also starting to get tired, so excitement quickly turned to uncertainty, especially since he was riding all by himself! He couldn't quite make up his mind if this ride was fun or not. He would start fussing and then stop and then start again. After this, we decided no more solo rides for a while. Before lunch we made it on the carousel - which Micah loved! - and Dora's train, which was just okay (he was really hot and tired by this point). Micah dozed off just as were approaching the picnic area for lunch, and then jolted awake because he didn't want to miss anything! He had fun running around and playing with the students. After lunch he quickly fell asleep and we found a shady spot to rest because it was getting pretty hot!



When Micah woke up, we headed to the waterpark! Micah had a blast!! He loved splashing and playing in the kid areas, which I must say are pretty great at Carowinds.


It looks like Micah takes after his Mommy...as we were waiting to leave that morning, Micah tripped and fell and scuffed up his forehead pretty bad...poor little guy! He always wants to go faster than his feet can carry him!


Micah is very lovey now, even when he's not exhausted! We LOVE Micah hugs & kisses!!


After the waterpark, we all rode the Scooby Doo ride (Micah slept through that last year). Then it was back to the kiddie area! We rode the big balloons, which Micah was really excited about...until it started moving!! While it looks tame from the ground, the balloons actually move at a good speed, and they tilt a little, making your tummy drop out from under you!


We were just going to ride the balloons and go home, but Micah spotted the carousel, and he just had to ride again! As you can see, he was exhausted, but he really did love that carousel! In fact, we were at the mall this weekend and he spotted the carousel in the food court and was begging to ride, but we tried to divert his attention (the carousel in the mall is not exactly cheap!)


It was the end to a great day! Thanks Daddy, for being the photographer! Micah had lots of fun with Daddy too!
